There are no prerequisites required for attending a PMP® training course but to gain the certification you must meet the specific requirements.
To be eligible for the PMP® certification exam, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Criteria 1:
A bachelor’s degree
Minimum of three years of project management experience, comprising of 4500 hours of directing and leading projects.
35 hours of project management education unless you are a CAPM certification holder. If you are an active CAPM certification holder you do not need to have 35 contact hours of project management education.

Criteria 2:
Secondary school diploma (high school/global equivalent)
At least five years of experience in project management, comprising 7500 hours of directing and leading projects.
35 hours of project management education unless you are a CAPM certification holder. If you are an active CAPM certification holder you do not need to have 35 contact hours of project management education.
Criteria 3:
Bachelor's or post-graduate degree from a GAC (PMI Global Accreditation Center) accredited program
At least two years of experience in project management, comprising 3000 hours of directing and leading projects.
Yes, the PMBOK is a comprehensive and clear-cut guide to passing the PMP® exam. However, PMP® training can give candidates indispensable practical knowledge through case studies, problem-solving exercises, and demonstrative activities that will help to ace the exam easily.
The PMP® exam pattern is as follows:
No. of Questions: 180
Pretest Questions: 5 which includes the 180 questions and these are non-scorable
Questions under evaluation: 175
Exam Allocation Time: 230 mins
Break Allotted: There are two 10-mins breaks allotted after completion of every 60 questions for the computer-based test. The first break will appear after completing 1 to 60 questions and reviewing all of your answers. The second break will appear after completing 61 to 120 questions and confirming that you are reviewed all your answers. Once you confirm and take the break you can’t able to change the answer and are not able to check your previous questions
The passing score is determined through psychometric analysis.
